Our Story
Founded in eastern Oklahoma in 2004, Service Compression started with a simple thesis. Operators deserve compression that runs when they need it, backed by a team that answers when they call.
Over two decades we’ve grown into a national contract compression company headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. We serve the Permian Basin, Eagle Ford, Bakken, Haynesville, and MidCon with one of the youngest fleets in the industry.
In April 2026, Service Compression completed the acquisition of Axip Energy Services. That transaction added 500,000-plus horsepower and expanded our capability across the full horsepower spectrum, from 80 HP wellhead packages to 2,500 HP midstream units, gas-driven and electric-drive.
Backed by Warburg Pincus, we continue to reinvest in fleet, technology, and people. Uptime doesn’t happen by accident. It’s engineered, maintained, and delivered by the crews behind every unit we run.
