Job Summary:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing multiple types of equipment including Caterpillar Engines as well as Ariel and Gemini Compressors. This role requires knowledge of natural gas compressors and contributes to the production of natural gas in the field.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform Preventative Maintenance to standard with minimal assistance
- Perform Call Outs without assistance.
- Have high level customer service and communication skills.
- Read, write and speak English (work orders, manuals, etc.).
- Use computer skills, including vendor specific programs (Cat ET, Cat SIS, Google Chrome and Outlook.
- Regularly complete and submit company required documentation through company software in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of gas engines and compressors, electrical systems, panel boards, skid wiring, etc.
- Working knowledge of HSE procedures and regulations
- General understanding of customers’ production equipment; Scrubbers, on/off skid.
- Understands all processes and systems on how a compressor package works.
- Knowledge of maintenance standards checklist and ability to accurately follow.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years or more experience with natural gas engines and compressors.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Must be fit for duty for the job tasks being performed.
- Must meet the medical requirements necessary to wear PPE required.
- Constantly required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to sit while driving or using PC.
- Occasionally required to climb in and around equipment, stairs and vertical ladders.
